Jennifer Casavant is a licensed school psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). She is also a registered clinical counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a certified teacher. Jennifer holds a Master of Education in School & Applied Psychology and a Professional Graduate Diploma of Applied Psychology in Inclusive & Special Education from the University of Calgary.

Celebrating over 30 years as an educator, Jennifer has extensive experience within the public, private, and independent school systems. She specializes in psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents and adults while collaborating with families and school teams to support students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and regulation challenges.

Jennifer began her career teaching in Alberta before moving to beautiful Vancouver Island. After taking a detour to provide adult psychology services for BC Provincial Mental Health and Addiction Forensic Psychiatric Services, Vancouver Island Health Authority Mental Health and Addiction Neuropsychology Services, the University of Victoria's Resource Center for Students with a Disability, and a private psychology clinic, Jennifer's passion for combining education and psychology came full circle when she returned to work for a local school district. A continuing sessional in UVic's Educational and Psychology & Leadership Studies, Jennifer thrives on supporting practicing teachers and school/district administrators to increase their inclusive education knowledge and capacity. She regularly provides professional learning opportunities on topics related to staff and student wellness, learning, cognition, behaviour, socio-emotional regulation, and student engagement.
